Triathlons

Although Apollo CT is primarily a cycling club, we have 4 Ironmen members in our ranks. The current members use the racing and training runs to help bring on the cycling aspect of their triathlon training, and then get together to cover the running & swimming aspects as well!

In 2009, the tri-members completed 9 triathlons in total and are planning to compete in the 2010 Ironman Nice, in France. They will also be attending the regular NI triathlon series with events in Castlewellan, Lough Neagh, Eskra Lough, Camlough and Athy. There is also plans to organise open water swim training at Lough Neagh in early spring 2010.
