Apollo Cycling club Committee Meeting 6th September 2010
Attendance : Fred McSorley, Paul McCormick, Paddy Hoy, Tony McConville, Marty Rogers
Apologies : Desi O’Hagan
1. MTB Race at Lakes was very successful financially but some learning points for future events
A) Kids races to be run separately
B) Radio check to be done & Race numbers checked prior to day of event
C) Pre entry to be closed two days prior to event in order to prepare sign on sheets
2. Recommendation that Inventory be taken of all current equipment held by members of club with a view to order new equipment with priority to be given to New tape, race signage, radios, race numbers
3. Cyclo cross event in Lurgan Park on October 3rd, members are asked to contact Fred and give a commitment to help organise this event
4. Irish Cyclo cross Championships will be held at Lurgan Park promoted by Banbridge cycling club , the committee of Apollo ct have offered Technical support in the running of this event
5. Xmas Dinner has been initially proposed to be held on Friday 17th December in the Ashburn, anyone who has an opinion on this please contact Paul McCormick
6. Interclub league presentation night is in the Cohannon Inn on the 24th September. Anyone going should contact Paul McCormick and the committee encourages as many members to go and support our only winner this year Davy Quinn.
7. Anyone with a trophy from last year please leave it in with Aaron at Wheels n motion before the weekend
8. Tony is contacting Endura for samples of new clothing as Gioradana prices are very high
9. Next club meeting will be held on the 27th of this month in order for it to be held before the cyclo cross race.
Meeting ended at 9.30pm
